This policy explains what data the Health for Pets app collects, why, how it is protected, and what your rights are.
1. Data controller
Health for Pets ("we") is the controller of the data described below. For any question: support@healthforpets.fr.
2. Data we collect

We do not collect your location, your contacts, or access your microphone. Photos are only used to illustrate your pet's profile or document its care (lesions, prescriptions).
3. Legal basis (GDPR)
- Performance of a contract: providing the app and its features (account, health record, sync, subscription).
- Legitimate interest: improving the service and measuring usage with limited data, without advertising tracking.
- Consent: where required by law (for example, certain notifications).
4. Data sharing
Your data is never sold. It is processed by technical providers strictly necessary to run the service:
- Supabase — database hosting and household sync (data encrypted in transit).
- RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management (purchases handled by Apple).
- Mixpanel — anonymised usage measurement, hosted in the European Union, with no ad tracking or resale.
- Apple — app distribution, in-app purchases and notifications.
Family sync (Care+) shares pet data only with the household members you invite.
5. Retention
- Account and tracking data: kept while your account is active.
- Account deletion: your data is erased from our servers within 30 days.
- Usage data: kept for up to 24 months in aggregated form.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object and port your data. You can:
- Delete your account directly in the app: Settings → Account → Delete my account.
- Email support@healthforpets.fr for any request.
- Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in France: CNIL).
7. Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Access to data is restricted by row-level security (RLS): each household can only access its own data.
8. Children
The app is not intended for children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page; significant changes will be announced in the app.
